Beautiful Wedding at a golf Club | Jessica & Nestor | Fairview Metropolitan | Oakland, CA

On a beautiful sunny day in July, Jessica and Nestor decided to celebrate their love with a simple but elegant wedding at Fairview Metropolitan, Oakland CA and get married. It was a romantic Oakland wedding and I was honored to be their California wedding videographer. 

The couple was perfectly matched. Nestor was a calm, yet confident man who was quick to laughter, Jessica was a sweet and articulate soul that felt he complemented her fiery chaotic side and the two together had a warm and gracious presence. Both mentioned their nerves at the beginning of the day followed by their gratitude for their friends being there in the exact same order and same tone without having any idea what the other was experiencing. It was one of those cute moments that makes an onlooker feel as though “it was meant to be”. 

Their ceremony was held outdoors right outside the club. Chairs laid out on the lawn facing a beautiful altar. The ceremony itself was short and sweet with each vow ending in a hug and an eagerness to share the first kiss that left the officiant scrambling to get out of the way. 

The reception was held in a clear tent directly flanking the ceremony location, which as a videographer with a lot of gear I can really appreciate. As the guests filed into the tent the photographer, Anna Joy and I stayed back to take family and bridal party shots. Jessica and Nestor’s adorable and fluffy dogs were of course featured in many of these photos, and almost became more popular than the couple due to their creative outfits and big round eyes.

Then it was time for Jessica and Nestor to enter the reception and the crowd let out a roar of excitement as they entered the tent hand and hand and approached their dancefloor for their first dance. Some couples spin and dip, and have a whole pre-practiced routine, but Jess and Nestor commanded the floor with a steady sway. They didn’t need any frills to melt everyone’s hearts who watched them. As the night continued guests enjoyed a buffet, dancing and open bar. It was a night to remember.
